Kick out of the Europa League! President of Crystal Palace: The biggest injustice in European football history, the forest is unwilling to make up for it like this

Since Crystal Palace and Lyon boss Texter both hold shares, UEFA ruled that Crystal Palace was not allowed to participate in the same event as Lyon, and Crystal Palace, which won the FA Cup championship, was moved from the UEFA Cup to the European Union. Crystal Palace Chairman Parrish gave an exclusive interview to Sky Sports, saying that this is one of the worst injustices in European football history.

Parrish said: "Obviously we are extremely sad. The most important thing is that we are heartbroken for the fans. I think all the fans of the club are sad for us because participating in the European game is a dream.

"The team won the trophy for the first time in history, and it felt like winning a lottery. But someone said to me: It's like winning the first prize and redeem the prize, but being told that I can't receive the prize. I feel broken for the players, the fans and the staff. It was a dark day for football.

"I believe that most rational fans can see how unfair this is for the club. I deeply hope that someone can correct the mistake, because no one in the football world wants to see this scene. UEFA also doesn't want to see this scene: a club that is qualifying for the competition is turned away because of the most ridiculous technical details you can imagine. We will appeal."

Nottingham Forest was kicked out of the Europa League because of Crystal Palace and substituted the Europa League qualification. Parrish said the forest would not be willing to qualify in this way.

Parrish said: "Forest is a great club. They have won a top league title once. Like us, they have also encountered the 'Black Swan Event'. They have reached the European Cup and won the championship, which has allowed them to qualify again and win again. These things have an incredible impact on football clubs.

"There is only one chance. This is the only chance to participate in the Europa League in our club's 164 years of history. I can't believe that a club with that story, that history is really willing to be part of the opportunity to deprive us of this. I really don't believe it.

"A lot of Forest fans contacted me and said they were reluctant to qualify for the event in this way.

"We believe that it is possible for Mr. Cheferin or someone else to intervene. There are many very important points that people need to consider.

"First, as far as I know, there are no other rules around the licensing. As we know, there are still some clubs that are now solving their problems. Someone must inject capital into the bank account by next week and be reviewed next week. So setting this date (referring to March 1) is a contradiction in itself.

"Secondly, this is a rule that we cannot follow. The major shareholders of Crystal Palace cannot abide by this rule. A minority shareholder needs to sell his shares or entrust the shares to manage. We have no right to force him to do that. This part alone makes absolutely no sense. How can you pass a rule and then impose sanctions on a club because they cannot comply with it?

"Obviously, it is well known that no one in Texter or Eagle Football (Text's company) has had a decisive impact on Crystal Palace. Everyone knows that. Everyone knows that we are not part of the multi-club ownership system. Everyone knows that we don't have staff or players in Lyon, no players on loan, no transactions.

"We're triggering the preset tripwire. We are struck by a rule that was not made for us. The rules will change. No one will stick to this rule. This is a ridiculous rule. I don't understand why the expert group came to such a conclusion. We have proved to them that it is beyond all reasonable doubts to prove that Texter has no decisive influence on any matters of the club, yet they still came to this conclusion, which is paradoxical. ”

Parrish said that the case indicated that UEFA needs to completely revise its multi-club ownership rules, and he called for immediate action to return Crystal Palace to the UEFA Cup.

Parrish said: "For UEFA, it is now at a truly decisive crossroads." Are they intervening and doing the right thing? Or let it develop and witness the worst injustice in European football history? ”
