Recently, Chelsea boss Burley responded to suggestions that the team needs a new goalkeeper to replace Robert Sanchez at an event in Australia. He insisted that the 28-year-old goalkeeper performed "very well."

Sanchez moved to Chelsea from Brighton in 2023 and joined after losing his starting position under former Brighton coach De Zerbi. Although Stamford Bridge fans have repeatedly called for Sanchez to be replaced, Burley seems to have no intention of responding to these criticisms or suggestions: "Sanchez is doing very well now and Reece James has become an incredible leader."

However, this response may anger some fans, who have witnessed Sanchez's turbulent performance since joining Chelsea.
