Haiyan County rescues an injured desert cat
Recently, the Natural Resources and Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Haiyan County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture rescued an injured desert cat.

A few days ago, the Haiyan County Natural Resources and Forestry Grassland Bureau received a call from the police at the Qinghai Lake Police Station in Haiyan County, saying that a herdsman in Talie Village, Qinghai Lake Township found an injured "big cat" and needed help. Staff from the Haiyan County Natural Resources and Forestry and Grassland Bureau quickly rushed to the scene and found that they were rescuing a desert cat.
The desert cat is the only endemic cat in my country. It lives in loess hills, deserts, semi-deserts, and grassland meadow areas at an altitude of 2,800 meters to 4,000 meters. It is distributed in Sanjiangyuan, Qilian Mountains and other places in our province.
After inspection, the staff found that the desert cat's left eye was injured. After contacting the Qinghai Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Center, the staff sent the desert cat to the Qinghai Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Center. After all-out treatment, the desert cat's vision was restored, and it was released into the wild after the injury recovered.
