According to The Athletic, Brentford striker Mbemo has decided to join Manchester United, provided that the two clubs can reach an agreement.

Mbemo is 25 years old. His contract with Brentford has only one year left, but the club has the option to renew the contract for one year. Since joining Troye in 2019, the 2024-25 season was the best season for the Cameroon striker, scoring 20 goals and sending 8 assists. Although Newcastle, Tottenham and Arsenal all want him, the player himself seems to be in Manchester United.

In May this year, Brentford coach Thomas Frank admitted that the club would consider selling Mbemo if the right offer was received. As a forward versatile player, Mbemo can play as a winger or a center, which is another example of Brentford's successful signings in recent years.

In his second season with Brentford, Mbemo helped the team advance to the Premier League through the play-offs. He scored 8 goals, 9 goals and 9 goals in the first three Premier League seasons at Brentford. At the national team level, he played in 18 games for Cameroon.
