The Times reported that Nottingham Forest has reached an agreement with Manchester City player McCarthy on personal terms.

It is reported that after reaching an agreement with McCarthy on personal terms, Nottingham Forest is close to signing the Manchester City player. The two clubs are currently negotiating transfer fees, which will exceed £20 million. But the Forests are confident of completing the deal before the first round of the new season against Brentford on Sunday. If the transfer is completed smoothly, 22-year-old McCarty will be the Forests' fifth signing this summer. Nuno's team is expected to continue signings before closing the window, and their target list still has demand for wingers, forwards and new fullbacks.

Last season, McCarty only started three times in the league and made 27 appearances in various competitions, so Manchester City is willing to let it go.
