After the dog was vaccinated, he was unconscious!

Last year, Hangzhou strictly controlled dogs, and all dogs had to be vaccinated. Various adverse reactions caused by vaccines followed one after another. In fact, this phenomenon is quite common, but the severity is different. In mild cases, itching, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe cases of body temperature rise, difficulty urinating, shortness of breathing, and even death from shock.

To avoid being at a loss when this phenomenon occurs again, let’s first learn about vaccine allergies.

Shock reaction

Allergic reactions occur within 2 minutes after the dog is vaccinated. In the early stage of shock, dogs will be particularly excited and restless, their heartbeats will be fast, their heart rate will be between 70-160 beats/minute, and their breathing rate will increase to 30 beats/minute. When the body temperature rises to 39.8-41.0℃, cyanosis of the mucosa (refers to a manifestation of the increase in deoxygenated hemoglobin in the blood that causes the skin and mucosa to appear blue-purple), it will last for about 10-15 minutes.

Immediately afterwards, the dog gradually changed from being excited to being depressed, with slow and weak cardiac movements, arrhythmia, thin and weak pulses, pale mucosa, cold limbs, relaxed and weak muscles, prolonged capillary filling time, difficulty breathing, thirst, and slow reactions. The stimulation response to pain, vision, and hearing completely disappeared, the pupils were dilated, blood pressure decreased, and finally died of coma.

Intestinal spasm, abdominal pain, vomiting stress reactions

occurs 15-20 minutes after the dog is vaccinated. The dog will experience spastic abdominal pain, irritability, continuous moaning, and twitching the abdominal muscles. If you use the palm to touch the dog's lower abdomen, you will feel the intestinal peristalsis and roll.

Gaptic tract stimulation reaction

On the second day after the dog is vaccinated, the dog begins to have diarrhea, reduce urination, thirst, decreased appetite (or refuse to eat), and unable to walk.

Fever reaction

On the second day after the dog's vaccination, the feverish skin turns red and the body temperature is high (to about 39.8℃).

Dermatological inflammatory reaction

Generally, urticaria will appear in the ears, lower abdomen and back of the dog's ears, lower abdomen and back 3-6 days after the injection of the vaccine.

· Blood pressure is measured, and the initial changes in shock are not obvious. Blood pressure during the shock period decreases. If the blood pressure is lower than 6666Pa, the animal's consciousness disappears; if it continues to drop to 4666Pa, the animal will fall into a coma and dies for 2 hours.

· Heart rate/pulse rate monitoring, fast heart rate, generally reaching 160 times/min.

· Determine the central venous pressure, except for cardigenic shock. During the shock period, the central venous pressure is generally lower than the normal value of the 0-5cm water column.

· Determine the cardiac discharge volume, and the cardiac discharge volume is reduced.

· Determine Po2, and the oxygen partial pressure also decreases.

· Determine the capillary filling degree, use your fingers to gently press the gingival or tongue edge, and observe the blood filling time after loosening pressure. When the dog is in shock, the capillary filling time exceeds the normal value of 1 second.

is the most serious hypersensitivity reaction. According to the symptoms mentioned above, the symptomatic treatment is given. If the rescue is not timely, death will occur.

· Oxygen delivery treatment. Shock dogs must ensure sufficient ventilation to maintain oxygen tension and make the respiratory tract unobstructed. Quickly insert the oxygen delivery bag tube into the dog's nasal cavity and use positive pressure to breathe until the dog's breathing is normal;

· Drug treatment. 0.1-0.5mL of epinephrine hydrochloride, intramuscular injection (dose can be adjusted as appropriate according to the dog's weight and severity of the reaction symptoms);

· 0.9% normal saline 250mL, 1mL of primine intravenous infusion;

· 0.5% atropine sulfate, 0.2mL of intramuscular injection per kilogram of body weight;

· 0.5-1.0mL/intrinsic injection of gastrointestinal aphrodisiac (dosage of puppies can be adjusted as appropriate);

Gastrointestinal reaction (diarrhea, diarrhea, dehydration)

· 80,000-100,000 U/t, intramuscular injection (dosage of puppies can be adjusted as appropriate);

· 4mL of Quankang Treatment Solution, intramuscular injection (dosage of puppies can be adjusted as appropriate);

· 0.9% normal saline 250mL, 5% glucose 250mL, if there is bloody stool, add hemostatic sensitivity 2mL, intramuscular injection, once a day for 3 consecutive days;

fever reaction

· 10% aminopyrin 2-4mL, intramuscular injection, puppies can use nearly 1mL of nasal drops;

· Vitamin C 2-4mL, intramuscular injection (the dose of puppies can be adjusted as appropriate);

dermatitis has itching in the ears and abdomen, and urticaria on the back.

· Oxidized cortisone, 1-2mL per dog, intramuscular injection, for 3 consecutive days (the dosage of puppies can be adjusted as appropriate);

· 1-2mL/pin, intramuscular injection;

· Hydrocortisone ointment, apply to the affected area;

· Dosage of pentagen attenuated vaccine for synergistic dogs: 1 dose per bottle of vaccine, 2mL of water for injection per dose before use;

· Immunization procedure: ① 30-90-day-old dogs are injected 3 times continuously, and the injection interval is appropriate; ② Each adult dog is injected twice a year, and the injection interval is appropriate; ③ Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection should be selected;

· Dog penta vaccine is a dog vaccine, which is highly specific for dogs and has good immunity, but is only used for preventive injections of healthy dogs with confirmed conditions;

· Disinfect the injection site, one syringe for one dog, and strictly follow the operating procedures;

· It is strictly forbidden to prevent injections of dogs infected in the latent period;

· It is strictly forbidden to make emergency preventive injections and treatments for dogs when an epidemic has occurred;

· For dogs that use too much serum, rabies vaccine should be vaccinated after 2-3 weeks;

· During the rabies vaccine injection, pet dogs should not be fed with frozen and spicy food, vigorous exercise, rain, and shower within 6 days. Pay attention to insulation in winter and try to avoid the above stress reactions
